Spay and Neuter
Spay/Neuter Discount Vouchers Available at Sammie's Friends for low income families.
If you are a low income Nevada County resident and need help with a spay/neuter for any breed of dog (except the four breeds listed below that Pound Puppy Rescue pays for), please make your spay/neuter appointment FIRST at any Nevada County veterinarian, as well as the two nonprofit low cost spay/neuter clinics, AnimalSave and the Animal S/N Clinic. Then call Sammie's Friends at the Nevada County Animal Shelter (530)471-5041 and let them know where you have an appointment. The voucher expires two weeks from the date of issue.
Female Dog $80
Male Dog $60
Female Cat $50
Male Cat $40
Since the vouchers only pay the amounts listed above, if you take your pet to the Animal S/N Clinic in Auburn, most of the bill will be covered. The next lowest price is AnimalSave. If you take your pet to a private veterinary clinic the voucher will most likely pay less than half of the cost.
